چکیده

Fetal programming suggests that maternal stimulation and nutrition during the period of fetal development can program progeny. Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), an isomer acid, has been characterized in several aspects, but few studies have performed on its involvement reproduction programming. The aim this study was to evaluate F1, F2 F3 progeny female mice supplemented with CLA pregestational gestational periods respect biometric reproductive parameters, as well ovarian morphophysiology. F1 mothers exhibited stable weight gain, while showed no effects (P=0.0187 P=0.0245, respectively). A reduction Lee's Index observed both generations at second post-weaning evaluation week animals treated (P=0.0100 P=0.0078, generation increase anogenital index sexes (P= 0.0114 P<0.0001, male administration did not affect any following their progeny: follicle mobilization (P>0.05), number (P>0.05) integrated density lipid content oocytes included antral follicles (P>0.05). This evaluated use found it regarding murine performance, suggesting supplement be used safely.

Trans-10, cis-12 Conjugated Linoleic Acid

Conjugated linoleic acids (CLA) are a group of linoleic acid isomers having double bonds in conjugated position, i. e. the double bonds are separated by one single bond. Two of the isomers: cis-9, trans-11 (c9, t11) and trans-10, cis-12 (t10, c12) CLA, have been shown to have biologically interesting properties. The c9, t11 CLA has been reported to have anticancer, antidiabetic and anti-inflamm...

Trans-10, cis-12, but not cis-9, trans-11, conjugated linoleic acid attenuates lipogenesis in primary cultures of stromal vascular cells from human adipose tissue.

We have previously shown that both a commercially available mixture of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) isomers and the trans-10, cis-12 isomer of CLA reduced the triglyceride (TG) content and induced apoptosis in differentiating cultures of murine 3T3-L1 preadipocytes. However, the influence of CLA isomers on differentiating human (pre)adipocytes is unknown. Therefore, we conducted a series of s...

Trans-10,cis-12, not cis-9,trans-11, conjugated linoleic acid inhibits G1-S progression in HT-29 human colon cancer cells.

Commercial preparations of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) contain both positional and geometric isomers of octadecadienoic acid, with cis-9,trans-11 CLA (c9t11) and trans-10,cis-12 CLA (t10c12) as the principal isomers. We showed previously that CLA reduced the incidence of colon tumors in rats treated with 1,2-dimethylhydrazine. In addition, our previous in vitro studies showed that t10c12 inh...

Effects of milk supplementation with conjugated linoleic acid (isomers cis-9, trans-11 and trans-10, cis-12) on body composition and metabolic syndrome components.

The effects of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) on body weight and body composition in man are controversial. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of milk supplementation with CLA on body composition and on the biochemical parameters of the metabolic syndrome. This was a randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial. Subjects were randomised to a daily intake of 500 ml milk s...

Different mechanisms of cis-9,trans-11- and trans-10,cis-12- conjugated linoleic acid affecting lipid metabolism in 3T3-L1 cells.

Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) has been shown to reduce body fat mass in various experimental animals. It is valuable to identify its influence on enzymes involved in energy expenditure, apoptosis, fatty acid oxidation and lipolysis. We investigated isomer-specific effects of high dose, long treatment of CLA (75.4 μmol/L, 8 days) on protein and gene expression of these enzymes in cultured 3T3-L...
